GANS: The Gerontology Association of Nova Scotia, established in 1977, is a voluntary organization whose members are individuals, families and organizations throughout Nova Scotia who have an expressed interest in older Nova Scotians. Through the support and participation of its members, the Association consults with government, organizations and individuals, provides networking and educational opportunities locally and provincially, supports gerontological research within the province, and fosters communication and positive working relationships between professionals and organizations.
